Early alerts visit-level information

Hi, I have been trying to use the available alerts to estimate where Rubin has been observing and if possible some metrics associated with each visit (e.g. seeing etc). Looking closer at the alert production database there is a table that should have the relevant info: DetectorVisitProcessingSummary. However I have not been able to find these fields in the alerts.

I’m tagging fink because I’ve primarily been using the fink data transfer service to retrieve alerts for analysis but I’d be glad to hear from any other brokers that might have these fields available!

Or is this a table that is currently not being populated by the pipeline?

Hi @jrob93, DetectorVisitProcessingSummary is not populated at the moment, but it would only be available in the future in the PPDB (or a similar RSP-accessible database) rather than the alerts. It is a detector-level table.

Note that you have the possibility to transfer the entire alert schema (Rubin + Fink added values) in the Data Transfer – so no risk to miss anything!

Thanks @ebellm, that makes sense. I just got confused when I saw the table listed amongst the alert packet tables in the schema.

And thanks for the tip @JulienPeloton. I have been trying to keep my queries relatively sensible by selecting only specific fields, but I will inspect a full packet or two for fun!
