DMPM delivered a talk on Rubin DM for the CI Compass “Data Management: From Instrument to First Storage” virtual workshop.
Yusra and Leanne attended AAS to present at sessions including AAS 245 Seminar for Science Writers: The Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
Technical Progress
Prompt Processing was significantly refactored to work with either Keda or Knative to autoscale the image processing pods and it now supports spatial constraints to launch alternate pipelines in crowded fields.
Multiprofit is now run by default in the DRP pipeline for measuring total galaxy fluxes.
Observatory Operations Data service (OODS) updated to version 9.8.1 (bug fixes).
Base Test Stand was upgraded to rke2 and encrypted as per security requirements. This is the final step before performing the same step on the summit next month.
A SIA service (implementing the eponymous IVOA standard for Simple Image Search) has been released into production. This service accesses the Butler client-server to return images to users via the VO API.
The first version of the rate limiting capability of phalanx services, including the Rubin Science Platform, has been released into production. This system will protect service continuity in cases of abnormal load.
