High-level Summary
Community Interactions, Meetings and Workshops
In a joint initiative between the Operations and Construction projects, we hosted a Joint Technical Meeting focused on finalizing preparations for Data Preview 1 (DP1) and the upcoming LSSTCam on-sky commissioning period. We reviewed initial DP1 data products, discussed data quality and pipeline performance, and identified issues from OR5 to address before LSSTCam-scale processing begins.
Technical Progress
Rubin Science Platform notebook aspect scaled and tested to 3,000 users, this is an important demonstration on the way to Data Release readiness.
Major progress on P1a verification at the JTM - about 55% formally verified with plans to complete the remaining before CCR2.
Transfer of files to an Independent Data Access Center via Rucio was demonstrated.
The Solar System object consolidation tasks for DP1 were written and DP1 production was wrapping up in March.
Sasquatch and ap_verify were configured to upload CI metrics from analysis_tools to Chronograf. An APDB containing long-term simulated LSSTCam observations for PPDB replication testing was created.
Pipelines were prepared for LSSTCam, including deploying preliminary LSSTCam calibration frames to the summit. Synthetic source injection was integrated into the biweekly HSC RC2 pipeline, allowing the retirement of the biweekly reprocessing of simulated LSSTCam-imSim data once on-sky operations begin.
Main Telescope Header Service updated in advance of LSSTCam going on sky.
