Technical Progress
The night of the LSSTCam First Photon, Data Management’s services performed reliably, starting with the LHN carrying images to the USDF, the middleware ingesting them into the butler, and the pipelines successfully processing the first images. The pipelines are run as the quick look pipeline feeding images to RubinTV, alert production on prompt processing waiting for science validation images, and nightly validation pipeline assessing real-time and summary performance. The RSP was in use on the summit and at SLAC to interact with the data.
Filtering based on reliability score of unassociated diaSources was added to difference imaging. Prompt Processing ran successfully with full-focal plane LSSTCam data. The complete Alert Production pipeline was run, including Solar System association, reading and writing to the APDB, and generating and storing alerts.
Rucio ingestion utilities were updated to support dimension record ingestion. Observatory Operations Data Service (OODS) has been updated and has a sped up for quicker ingestion times.
Prior to First Photon access to the Pixel Zone has been restricted, allowing only a limited set of servers to utilize its services. Users can connect to the Pixel Zone through a VPN.
Access Control Training was provided for 245 people with access to the embargo rack as required by NIST.
