The DM monthly status report covering July activities has been posted to DocuShare, collection-14954. For convenience, the High-level Summary is pasted below. Direct link to the full report: [July Report]

Community Interactions, Meetings and Workshops

DM Scientist attended DESC meeting (July 8,9) virtually as DM liaison.

DM supported the Rubin community workshop (July 22-26 at SLAC) with several presentations and sessions as usual. This was more community focused so we had less DM attendees but we still covered important topics with the community - this was seen as mostly an OPS activity for DM.

DM also had its first Standards Review (July 29,30 at SLAC) - the report is pending, we got useful feedback, there will be some work to do.

Technical Progress

The first draft of the pixel zone security plan outlining the NIST controls for the pixel zone was issued (RTN-082).

Use cases for client/server Butler were reviewed with a focus on the system needed to support DP1. The final step in the integration of the Rucio file management tool and the Data Butler was demonstrated, with files moving from France to the US and ingested into a US Butler.

Improved the memory use, error handling and shutdown sequence of Prompt Processing with an overall improvement in stability.

The pedestals applied to each amp to ensure that the background is continuous across a detector during ISR are now dispatched to Sasquatch as metrics for both camera diagnostics and ISR diagnostics.
