High-level Summary
Community Interactions, Meetings and Workshops
DM supported LSST@Europe Sept 15 - 20 in La Palma, DM Scientist gave an invited presentation on preparing the community for LSST science. Other sessions were supported by DM reometely. A public talk, in Spanish, was delivered in Teatro Chico Sept 17 (DM PM).
DM supported the Solar System Science Collaboration Sprint, giving an invited presentation on early science with Rubin/LSST.
Technical Progress
Began preparations for CCR1 and P1a completeness.
The final PVI measurement task for the refactored pipeline using CalibrateImage and a new PipelineTask to compute predicted solar system object positions from the ephemerides provided by MpSky were implemented.
The camera model output from the global astrometric fitter can now be used to provide an initial WCS for single frame processing. We now also account for proper motion and parallax in the astrometric repeatability and reference catalog match SRD metric computation.
New calibration pipelines for LATISS, LSSTCam, and LSSTComCam using the updated IsrTaskLSST, replacing the previous IsrTask were implemented. Key updates include pipeline reordering for calibration, a gain ratio adjustment, and the addition of a baseline crosstalk matrix for LATISS, with further testing planned for LATISS to finalize the changes.
The “un-embargo” software successfully transferred LSSTCam test data to the French Data Facility.
In preparation for turning on LSSTCam the LSSTCam Observatory Operations Data Service (OODS) was deployed at summit.
We have published SQR-091, SQR-092, and SQR-093 in support of our work as part of the Virtual Observatory Protocol Transition Tiger Team
