DM Monthly Status Report for October 2021

High-level Summary
Community Interactions, Meetings and Workshops
DM had a successful JSR Oct 4-7 with a single recommendation relating to NOIRLab integration.
A good leadership virtual F2F was held Oct 19 and 20 preceded by an SST meeting. A range of technical
and planning topics were discussed. Special attention was paid to verification and milestones.
Some DM team members attended ADASSXXI Oct 24-28 an RSP paper was presented.
Technical Progress
Several notes were updated or released:
● DMTN-209 describes the RSP deployment on Google (for ADASSXXXI)
● DMTN-202 describes user batch requirements for DM.
● DMTN-092 was updated describing pipeline feedback to Summit systems.
Some product ownership shuffling was done. Jim Bosch was assigned as product owner for middleware,
Gregory Dubois-Felsmann for user and RSP support and Jeff Carlin and Leanne Guy assuming
verification responsibilities.
The DataLink service deployed into production in the portal aspect of the RSP. The RSP Notebook
service was ported to JupyterHub 1.4
General purpose utility code was reorganized and moved out of middleware packages and into the “utils”
package in order to make this code more available to others.
Within pipelines the trailed source model can now be fit on difference images and Solar System object
association is integrated with DiaPipe. The release process for Pipelines 23.0.0, the first science pipelines
release being tied to a data release (DP0.2) was started.
On the summit this month’s AuxTel observing run was run entirely on generation 3 middleware
