High-level Summary
Community Interactions, Meetings and Workshops
DM had a successful JSR September 19-23, there was plenty of discussion but no
recommendations for DM. DM supported the AURA Management Council for Rubin
(AMCR) Sept 14,15 in SLAC.
Eric Bellm presented a review of the AFS requirements & proposed ANTARES partnership; a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ANTARES is begin drafted
Technical Progress
Two LCRs on DM requirements submitted 1) to review networking requirements on
Summit to Base network ownership and 2) to review requirements on DM intermediate
data products.
The Alert Production team conducted a sprint to convert existing metrics and plots to use
the new analysis_tools framework.
The Heliolinc algorithm was refined to support additional classes of asteroids, and tested
on simulated datasets.
The transfer of all Rubin data from NCSA was completed and NCSA machines were
powered down.
Butler repos for embargoed data were set up at the USDF.
A new theme with the Rubin visual identity and many usability improvements was released
for documentation sites using our in-house infrastructure.
With its deployment on the summit, the standalone EFD service has transitioned to a new
service (Sasquatch) that shares infrastructure with the Rubin Science Platform and can be
extended with additional capabilities.
