Mentor needed for high-school Siemens Competition

Hi LSST Team, @cwalter shared an EPO opportunity recently in case an LSST scientist would like to volunteer:

From: Kylee Coppock
Subject: Siemens Competition Mentor
Date: December 5, 2016
Cc: Imani Danieli

My name is Kylee Coppock, and my peer Imani Danieli and I are looking for
a mentor for the Siemens Competition. We are currently 11th grade students
studying at Wayne Early/Middle College High School in Goldsboro, NC. This
contest is of a high standard and requires a written scholarly article and
a potential oral presentation. We are interested in the fields of
cosmology and astrophysics, with possible topics including: black holes,
quasars, gravitational waves, dark matter, etc., and we are open to other
ideas or suggestions. We will need assistance in focusing our topic and to
meet regularly until the submission deadline in October 2017. If you are
interested, further information can be found here:
https://siemenscompetition.discoveryeducation.com/
We hope that you would like to be involved, and request that you contact
us if you are interested.

Thank you for your time,

Kylee Coppock and Imani Danieli

Let me know if you’re interested and I can put you in touch with Kylee and Imani (or feel free to join our Slack #epo channel for details).
