NCSA has a monthly software meeting in which various topics are discussed. Topics range from some of the local software developed at NCSA, best practices when developing software to discussions about how to use GIT, puppet and other tools to build and distribute software.
This months presentation is done by two people from LSST: Tim Jenness and Jonathan Sick. Tim will be presenting how LSST is using standard software tools such as JIRA, CI and tests to create and manage the creation of the LSST stack. Jonathan will be giving a presentation about end user-focused technical writing.
I had asked both Tim and Jonathan for this presentation after talking to them at the all hands and looking at their presentations and thought they would be a good fit for the NCSA software meeting. This specific presentation will be recorded and can be watched live at http://go.illinois.edu/ncsaeventsmedia. I also created a room in hipchat for those that want to ask questions during the presentations https://lsst.hipchat.com/chat/room/3108940.
