New study completely debunks Planet 9

Proof Planet 9 doesn’t exist – New update of the Planet 9 theory with 16 new ETNOs (total 36). It changes everything.

Hi, here is the ultra-short version of my message to satisfy the guidelines and the moderators… Anything shorter would not be informative enough. So please do not flag me…

My approach is completely disinterested; it is solely for the collective knowledge, especially the LSST community. Furthermore, my study is free of copyright and can be used for any paper if you are interested…

This is for all intents and purposes for the LSST community regarding Planet 9 (and Planet Y).
Planet 9 is one of the exciting topics for the LSST, but I must share the results of my study with you, to avoid harboring useless illusions any longer…

In 2016, with the first 6 ETNOs, Brown & Batygin discovered a “cluster” orientated toward Taurus.

In 2017, the study OSSOS VI detected a strong observational bias. 5 out of the 6 objects originated from the exact same sector.

In 2021, with 20 ETNOs by then, Napier & Gerdes started to uncover some contradictory evidence.

In 2026, I am also bringing an update with 36 ETNOs, and this time, numerous elements shatter any hope for Planet 9!

I discovered that:

  1. The 2016 original observational bias still persists: half of the 36 ETNOs originate from the same sector (Pisces-Aries). The clusters are pseudo-clusters. Since ETNOs are discovered near perihelion, their orbital axes naturally align in the same direction. The actual “cluster” here just reflects intense search activity from September to mid-November (18 ETNOs [50% of them] detected in that short period of 2.5 months, which is only 20% of the year). With 36 ETNOs, this phenomenon is remarkable!

  2. Furthermore, the second-highest concentration of objects (7 ETNOs) is now located right across from the cluster (Virgo-Libra), exactly where there should be the fewest. This is a total contradiction! (An orbit simulator would likely show that these 7 objects completely rule out any possibility of a massive Planet 9 orbit there).

  3. In 2016, a cluster was discovered in the direction of Taurus. In 2026, it is no longer there!

  4. I have developed a calculation method (the convergence/divergence ratio) that allows us to detect whether Planet 9 is present, despite the observational bias. The result is negative!

These 4 points totally debunk Planet 9.

The style is very witty and will surely keep you entertained!

For those looking for a potential planet, I would advise them to look instead for an object like Amir Siraj’s Planet Y, which is promising.

But if it makes no difference to you in how you process the data, then it doesn’t matter what I said. I came here solely to be of service, and I imagine it will have been interesting for you nonetheless.

I wish you every success for the imminent launch of the LSST!
