Is there a preferred publication describing the Rubin Science Platform that I can cite? Thanks.
You could use the design document “https://ldm-542.lsst.io/”
@article{LDM-542,
author = {Gregory Dubois-Felsmann and Kian-Tat Lim and Xiuqin Wu and Frossie Economou and Fritz Mueller and Brian Van Klaveren and Kenny Lo},
title = “{LSST Science Platform Design}”,
year = 2017,
month = jun,
handle = {LDM-542},
publisher = “Rubin Observatory”
}
the only publication I can think of otherwise is the ADASS paper this year which is not yet published
“Rubin Science Platform on Google: the story so far.” , ADASSXXXI I will put it on the Archiv once I submit it.
I tend to use the vision document when citing the RSP:
LSST Science Platform Vision Document - LSE-319 - https://lse-319.lsst.io/
It presents the overall vision and drivers for the science platform and how it will enable science with LSST.
@article{LSE-319,
author = {M. Juri’c and D. Ciardi and G.P. Dubois-Felsmann},
title = “{LSST Science Platform Vision Document}”,
year = 2017,
month = jun,
handle = {LSE-319},
publisher = “Rubin Observatory”
}
LDM-542 is an architecture and technical design document that details how the vision in LSE-319 is implemented.
You can cite either, or both, depending on the context.
