A new version, v8.0, of technote RTN-011, “Rubin Observatory Plans for an Early Science Program,” has been issued and is available at https://rtn-011.lsst.io . This new version should be cited using the same Rubin DOI as previously.
This major release provides updates on the content of DP2, alerts, template generation in early operations, and the early operations timeline. DP2 is still on track for a July - September 2026 release. The delivery date for Prompt image and catalog products, and access to the PPDB has slipped slightly to between June and September 2026. An update is also provided on the start of the LSST.
