Sample Solar System Rubin Observatory Alert Packets

Hi,

This may be a reqest for @ebellm.

I’m organizing a Solar System Science Collaboration Sprint in late June, and there is possible interest in developing some tools/post analysis of Solar System transient alerts to look for cometary activity. I believe there were example Solar System alerts that were shared with the broker teams for the broker proposals. Would it be possible to get access to those as well for the Sprint so they could be included on the JupyterHub being set up for the sprint?

Hi @mschwamb,

This post describes how to access the sample Solar System alerts. I think it is unlikely they will be useful for testing filters for cometary activity, however, as they are based on simulated asteroid catalogs only.

@mjuric or @eggl might comment further on updates to the underlying simulated catalogs since November.
