Based on the recommendations from a recently published study (Clancy et al. 2017) on racism and sexism in astronomy and planetary science, the SSSC drafted a Code of Conduct in order to promote and build the SSSC as a positive, inclusive, supportive, and successful research community. The Code of Conduct draft was put up to a vote after including suggestions from within the SSSC. The SSSC has voted to adopt the Code of Conduct.
