The SSSC has launched a new website http://www.lsstsssc.org.
Based on the the input from SSSC collaboration members, the SSSC is going to create working groups in the following areas:
- Outer Solar System
- Inner Solar System
- NEOs (Near Earth Objects)
- Active objects
- Community software/infrastructure development
We’re working on signing SSSC members up for the working groups and also soliciting nominations (including self nominations) for working group chairs. The idea of the working groups is to provide forums and avenues for people with similar interests in specific Solar System populations or software development to interact and have more detailed conversations than is possible on the full SSSC collaboration listserv. The dividing line between working groups is not meant to be rigid, and members are encouraged to join more than one working group.
