The Rubin Users Committee (UC) thanks the Rubin Observatory for the work done in response to our 2024B report, and their detailed description of the actions taken.
During the open listening session, questions were put forward regarding continuous development of the data processing pipelines, data releases, re-processing of all Rubin data when a new version of the pipelines is released, and documentation. We thank the Rubin team for promptly addressing those questions.
The UC acknowledges that fast queries of Rubin data products are limited to spatial indexing by coordinates. The UC invites the community to monitor the speed of custom queries and possible consequences to their science.
A large fraction of the UC meeting was devoted to discussing the upcoming Data Preview 1 (DP1) release. The UC expects that the Community may provide substantial feedback when DP1 is available. The UC therefore plans to create avenues for feedback to be provided, starting from a listening session at the RCW, then preparing more detailed feedback forms.
No additional findings were put forward by the UC or the community members at this time. We strongly encourage the community to ask questions, raise issues and provide feedback to the UC.
