The Rubin Observatory LSST Scheduler Team and the Community Engagement Team prepared the following presentation to provide an introduction to the LSST survey cadence optimization efforts for the Jan 2022 Winter AAS meeting.
The presentation defines much of the terminology associated with survey simulation and evaluation, an overview of the available tools for survey simulation analysis, and a timeline for community input.
