Workshop announcement: From Data to Software to Science with the Rubin Observatory LSST

Registration is now open for an interactive workshop “From Data to Software to Science with the Rubin Observatory LSST”, to be held March 28-30, 2022 at the Center for Computational Astrophysics in New York City (in-person component is contingent on the Covid situation; if held in person, remote participation will be offered on a best effort basis). Attending this workshop is a great opportunity to discuss your high-priority LSST science case, and what cross-cutting software and computing resources are needed to turn them into reality, with other scientists from across the Rubin community! We’ll develop new collaborations and produce a white paper that should be of broader use to the community.

Travel support is available for interested participants from outside the NY area. Workshop size is limited to ensure we can foster a collaborative working environment; please express your interest in attending through this form by January 26, 2022.

@rmandelb Can students or research assistants attend this workshop ?

We hope the participants will include a range of career stages, including PhD students who are actively engaged in Rubin/LSST science cases.

However, given the limited workshop space and the emphasis on active working sessions, students who are in the early stages of learning about this science should register for the “virtual attendance of plenary sessions” option.
