In RFC-1069 it was decided that the Rust programming language would be added as a development language for the science pipelines. The ground work for this is done, and a draft for the developer guide on using Rust for development is now available for comment. If you have interest or opinions on this topic, please weight in on the PR here. The aim is to collect feedback from everyone, update the guide accordingly, and have things in place by the new year.
