Applications for the LSST-DA Data Science Fellowship Program (DSFP) are now open.
The DSFP is designed to supplement graduate education in astronomy-related fields by teaching essential skills for working with the large datasets that will be produced by Rubin/LSST. The program emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration, and no prior data science experience is required—just curiosity and enthusiasm to learn.
The program includes six one-week schools over a two-year period, where students develop practical data science skills while building a collaborative and supportive learning community. We especially encourage applications from students from groups historically underrepresented in astronomy.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 27, 2026
