Availability of streaked sources >10deg/day

Hi, I’ve been wondering about streaked sources in LSST, related to NEOs and also objects in non-heliocentric orbits (minimoons). I’m aware that sources with trail length >10deg/day will not have alerts issued (DMTN-199) but will they still be logged as sources (i.e. get a diaSourceId) and if so will it be possible to query for those sources in a timely manner?

I was looking at section 3.4 of DMTN-199 and it implies that the embargoed detections will be those streaks that correspond to a USDF catalogue. Does that then mean that any streaks that are not matched to this catalogue would be made available? Or is it more likely that there will be no way to find these streaks until a full data release (if even then)?

@jrob93 Generally streaks with trail length >10deg/day will not be available in catalogues in the USDF.

Okay so we should plan to most likely have nothing with trail length > 10 deg/day. Good to know, thanks!
