Cannot make an account on RSP

Hello,

When I originally tried to sign-up on the RSP I got hit with a tonne of internet troubles, which meant I never received any of the account confirmation emails. I’ve tried to log in today (after actually getting my data rights sorted), and the page is saying my request is being processed, despite the fact I don’t think I ever finished the sign-up due to the email issue. The page after logging in via Orcid just says “You do not have any current roles. If your request for enrollment is still being processed, you will not be able to login until it is approved. Please contact an administrator for assistance.” See screenshot below.

Any help in getting this sorted would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ashley, I confirmed that you do appear on the International List of Data Rights Holders, and made some changes to the account you tried making with your institutional identity, University of Hertfordshire. So try logging in with that (not ORCID).

Thanks for helping, unfortunately I still seem to be hitting an error before I can fill out the registration form. I tried logging in with my UH credentials on Chrome and Safari and couldn’t get either to work.

Hi Ashley, thanks for reporting back, and my apologies for the issues.

To resolve the issue, I’ve expunged both your U of H and ORCID accounts. Please restart the process for getting a new RSP account and use the same username (ashleynova). Use your U of H for the original account, then later (after it is approved and you can log in) add ORCID as a linked identity. And please report back (or mark this post as the solution) once you’re able to log in?

Thanks again for the help, I was able to proceed through the account creation step, but this time I got to the “request approval” step and the page hit another error. Screenshot is attached.

Hi Ashley, I could see your account was on step 8 of the process, the step that requires approval by Rubin staff, which I have now done. Please try to login to the RSP and confirm here that it worked?

After you’re able to login, a recommended step is to link additional identities.
