For those of you folks who use our APIs and don’t cruise past the data.lsst.cloud landing page on a regular page to read the announcement banners, please note we will have a rare extended offline period during our weekly upgrade window later today, and that window will be extended up to 4 hours (so 3pm up to 7pm Pacific).
For the technically minded, this is a full cluster rebuild which (among other things) will allow us to use new features in Google Kubernetes Engine to use resources more efficiently, which will in turn release more resources for the services you use most.
