Downloading LSST Coadd Bricks -- (i.e., Tracts/Patch)

What is the long term plan for enabling users to download individual data products using data transfer services, for example, GLOBUS? Specifically, Is there a way to transfer the DP1 coadd bricks (or equivalent thing for Rubin-- maybe these are called Tracts or Patches) to another server? Bricks is a term I’m borrowing from Legacy Survey, I mean giant sections of the sky where each pixel contains flux information processed using the same coadd pipeline.

While downloading data products seems counter to the RSP “user compute near the data” philosophy, I’m thinking about analyses where there is insufficient compute resources for individual users to perform, for example, training AI on image cutouts which should be done with GPU resources. My understanding is there are no GPU resources made available to users on the RSP.

There is no plan for individuals to transfer data. Though possible for DP1 it is not feasible for DR1 and beyond. MOUs are being put in place with data centers (like NERSC) to transfer some or all data using Rucio for use of validated data rights holders of say a science collaboration at that location.
