Hi TQ, I can see you’ve got a few accounts in the RSP. The one that is Active uses NCSA as your identity provider, you should be able to log in to that one. There is another, marked as a Duplicate, that uses Carnegie Mellon as the identity provider. And a third which has a status of Pending that uses U. Pitt as your identity provider - that one you wouldn’t be able to log in to yet, until it is approved. Can you report back on which one is not working, which account you’d like to keep and which we could maybe expunge (if any)? We’ll help get you sorted.
Hi Melissa, thank you, this is really helpful. I have completely forgotten that I used NCSA for that early version of RSP, and that account was carried over.
The NCSA login works. I could stick to it. If it is straightforward for you to operate, switching to University of Pittsburgh as my identity provider would be best.
Hi @tq96zhang – that’s great that you can still login with NCSA.
I have expunged the third account which had a status of Pending and that used U. Pitt as your identity provider. Expunging that one allows you to link your U. Pitt identity as an additional identity to your existing NCSA account: Linking additional identities — Rubin Science Platform
I recommend also adding a non-institutional additional identity, like GitHub or ORCID, so that you will never lose access even if your NCSA or U. Pitt identities expire.
Since you’re able to log in to the RSP, and this reply has the next steps, I’m going to mark this post as the solution – but if your run into any issues adding additional identities please do report back or open a new Support topic, anytime, so we can help.
