The purge policy for the GPFS /scratch fileset will be implemented starting October 1, 2017. A weekly automated process will delete files in /scratch and its subdirectories with modification dates > 180 days. Please keep in mind that /scratch is a place for ephemeral files. Use /datasets or /project as appropriate for data you need to keep. GPFS is the shared filesystem for many of the developer environments operated by NCSA.
