My colleague and I signed up for a Rubin Science Platform account almost a month ago (2/5/26), and have been awaiting approval since then. We were wondering how much longer we should expect to wait before being allowed to access our accounts, as we’ve noticed from other forum threads and the process outline that it usually only takes around 1-2 weeks.

It is likely that your petition for an RSP account is on step 8 of the process. Could you check your email (include the spam folder) for a message with the subject “Confirming your data rights for the Rubin Science Platform”?
Also, I can see that your email address is associated with a high school. Under the Rubin data rights policy, the path to data rights for high school students is the same as for amateur astronomers, which is explained in this documentation:
