We previously announced that the LSST Algorithms Workshop would be held 3-5 December 2019 at SLAC. We are delighted to have received strong interest in this workshop from both across the LSST project and the community. As ideas for this workshop matured however, we realised we needed more time to fully develop the workshop plan. Consequently, we have decided to move this workshop to Spring 2020, to be held at either Princeton or SLAC. We apologise for any inconvenience. Precise dates and venue will be announced shortly.

The LSST Project will host a workshop on the topic of image processing and algorithms for LSST. The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for the presentation of the algorithmic challenges faced by LSST, and to solicit feedback and ideas as to how these algorithms can best meet scientific needs of the community. Topics of discussion will include (but are not necessarily limited to): Calibration, Point Spread Function Estimation, Galaxy Photometry, Deblending & Crowded Fields, and Image Differencing. The workshop will include a combination of presentations from the Project on the current status of LSST algorithms and pipelines, with un-conference sessions scheduled to encourage open discussion. The LSST Project now invites expressions of interest to attend the LSST Algorithms Workshop. We are expecting high interest in this workshop and have limited places available. Expressions of interest can be submitted from the workshop website: ls.st/law. Deadline for expressions of interest to attend is 22 December 2019. Notification of acceptance will provided by end 2019.
