LSST Science Pipeline release version 17.0 now available

Version 17.0 of the LSST Science Pipeline is now available. Extensive documentation including installation instructions, release notes, and scientific characterization are available at:

https://pipelines.lsst.io.

This release offers native binary packages for recent releases of RHEL and MacOS which will speed up installation times for many users. Major changes in functionality and/or interfaces are listed here:

I’ve just discovered that HSC calib construction is broken in the v17.0 release. It will be fixed on DM-18174.

Patch release 17.0.1 has been made available based on 17.0 major release.
Documentation page pipelines.lsst.io has been updated accordingly.
