Dear all,
This is the first announcement of the Special Session SS27 – The Vera C. Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time: from Data Previews to Full Survey Operations, to be held at the European Astronomical Society (EAS) Annual Meeting from 29 June – 3 July 2026 at the SwissTech Convention Centre, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Abstract submission is now open until March 3, 2026.
We welcome contributions from researchers at all career stages and from all backgrounds, including both long-standing members of the Rubin community and those engaging with the LSST ecosystem for the first time.

3 March 2026: Abstract submission deadline
29 March 2026: Volunteering deadline
Mid-April 2026: Acceptance of abstracts

2 & 3 July 2026: Special Session SS27
