I tried logging in to data.lsst.cloud and found I had created multiple accounts. How should I fix this?
Thank you, Susans
Hi @seridgway, thanks for your question. To start, can you confirm that you can log in to at least one of your accounts so that you’re not fully blocked from accessing the RSP?
Hi Susan,
Indeed, I can see in the system that you have two active accounts. One uses the identity provider ORCID and has a username of “ser”, the other Google and “seridgway”. The easiest thing to do here is decide which you want to keep (make sure you can log in first, like Sarah says) and we’ll expunge the other. If you need help transferring any materials between accounts we can provide some advice.
After that happens, you can follow the instructions below to link the identity from the expunged account to your kept account, and you’ll be able to log in to the same account with either identity going forward.
Hi Sarah, Melissa, yes I think I did somehow create a new OrcID based account, and that one I can log in to.
So I suppose it makes sense to expunge the original one (seridgway, with the NOIRLab verification) and then link that back in later if need be?
Thanks very much,
Susan
Hi Susan, I’ve expunged the account that uses “Google” as the identity provider (username “seridgway”), and you can go forward logging in with ORCID (“ser”) and whatever other identities you link.
