Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying EDP2 while we work to get back on sky. This week the team made progress with further assessments, interim repairs to parts of the facility where we had snow/rain ingress and kept clearing snow around the summit to enable services and make the building more accessible. An important step was made with the starting up one of our generators. We have more weather this week however, and the team will have to wait (likely) until early next week to get back up. Then they will continue to make progress prepping to power up the facility. Our overall NOIRLab team also made progress with the roads, water, and fuel service among other things. More than 100 people have been on the property (known as El Tortoral) on various days this week pushing to get us back on sky. I am grateful for their efforts as I know you are. Have a good weekend.
