Retaining RSP access after institutional change

Hi, I’m a US scientist but will soon start a postdoc at a non-US institution that is not an international data rights holder. However, from reading RDO-013 I understand there’s a two year grace period for US and Chilean scientists after a change of institution. I currently use my US institutional credentials to log in to the RSP, but if I add an additional identity, e.g. my ORCiD, will I still be able to access the RSP with that identity after I change institutions?

Hoping the answer is yes, but would appreciate from hearing from those in the know, thanks.

Hi @rwclarke , thanks for your question and congratulations on the new job

Yes, please link another identity to your RSP account, and in the future when you log in at data.lsst.cloud, choose that identity from the drop-down menu. This way, you’ll maintain access to your RSP account, and be able to make use of the data rights grace period.
