Dear Rubin Colleagues,
We’re happy to announce registration for the Rubin Community Workshop 2024 is now open. As a reminder it will take place July 22-26, 2024 at SLAC, Menlo Park, California with all sessions available for virtual participation.
As a reminder this meeting will have an emphasis on Rubin LSST science and the needs of the community. This is a shift in focus compared to the Project and Community Workshops (PCW) of the previous years, though there will still be project updates and opportunities to interact with project staff.
Please note, the meeting this year is different to previous years.
- Fee: The registration fee for in-person attendance will be US$225 and no coupon codes will be issued to waive the fee. It will be reimbursable through your usual conference reimbursement method. There will be no fee for virtual participation but registration is required.
- Meals: No meals will be provided but refreshments will be provided in the coffee breaks.
- Reception: a reception is planned for Tuesday evening at SLAC.
- 250 max attendees: We will cap in-person participation to 250 attendees so please register early, registration for in-person registration will close on June 21st or earlier if we reach capacity.
- Hotel: We have 100 rooms at the onsite SLAC guest house ($180-$229), you must book before 6th May and 80 rooms at Dinah’s ($245) where you must book by June 21st. Upon successful registration you will receive a confirmation email containing links to book your hotel room at either of the 2 locations within the negotiated blocks. Please note, there are only a limited number of rooms, you are advised to book early.

Unless you already have Rubin login credentials (e.g for JIRA) you will need to create an account. Once your account is approved you will be able to register for virtual and in-person participation.
