Rubin Science Assembly, Thu 02 May 2024 at 9 AM PDT: How to analyze the LSST point-spread function

Please join this week’s Rubin Science Assembly. (See this topic for more info on Rubin Science Assemblies.)

How to analyze the LSST point-spread function
This week’s presenter, Andrés A. Plazas Malagón (SLAC/KIPAC), will demonstrate how to analyze the LSST point-spread function (PSF), based on the DP0.2 tutorial notebooks DP02_12a and DP02_12b, entitled “DP02_12a_PSF_Data_Products” and “DP02_12a_PSF_Science_Demo”, respectively.

Summary and Recording of the Rubin Science Assembly, 2 May 2024 – How to analyze the LSST point-spread function

The Rubin Science Assembly on Thursday, May 2, 2024, featured a presentation by Andrés A. Plazas Malagón. The presentation demonstrated how to manipulate and analyze point-spread function (PSF) models in single-epoch and coadded images, as well as how to retrieve PSF properties from DP0.2 catalogs to study the wavelength dependence of the PSF size and the calculation of two-point correlation functions for PSF modeling quality assurance.
