Astrometry and the WCS
After a short presentation about astrometry and World Coordinate System concepts, attendees will work through Data Preview 1 tutorials for the Notebook aspect on astrometry and reference catalogs in DP1 (204.3. Astrometric calibration, 204.2. The Monster refrence catalog). There will be time for Q&A.
All are welcome, with students particularly encouraged. Prior to attending it is recommended to get an account for the Rubin Science Platform: ls.st/rsp-signup.
