Schema for lsstcam_20250930

Does anyone have a pointer to a schema for the lsstcam_20250930 database (https://survey-strategy.lsst.io/progress/sv_status/sv_2025)? The page says that it is a mixture of a few tables and modeled after the opsim database, but I can’t find definitive units for zero_point_median (whether it is in ADU or electrons).

Hi @jkubica, thanks for posting this question.

For this aggregate file, descriptions for its columns can be found among those at:

The zero_point_median appears in the ConsDB schema, under the visit1_quicklook table, where it’s listed as having units of magnitudes and a description of “Photometric zero point (median across all detectors)”.

I think that answers your question, so I’m going to mark this post as the solution for this topic – but please do unmark it and reply if there any related follow up issues or questions, and we’ll keep working on it, thanks!

Thanks @MelissaGraham. I did see that, but still had questions. My understanding is that zero point is the magnitude that produces 1 count of a given measure. So the fact the unit is magnitude makes sense. However, I am not sure if this is the magnitude needed to produce 1 ADU or the magnitude needed to produce 1 electron.

We were told via slack that this is the magnitude needed to produce one electron. So that answers the question.
