In DP0.2 there is a possibility to have a shared directory that would be accessible to all users (Shared RSP directories?). The thread in the link says

I wonder if Data Preview in this context refers only to Data Preview 0.2, or does it include Data Preview 1/2.
In other words, will a shared directory also be available in Data Preview 1 world?
It’s complicated. No, in the sense of anyone being able to create anything they want in /project. Yes, in that there are going to be other ways to cater for many of the usecases that people had in doing that. Can I ask what is your motivation for asking so I can give you a more precise answer?
This is connected with providing data in the HATS standard, i.e., providing specific catalogs as .parquet files with special spatial sharding and metadata. This is the project that we talked about recently; we (LINCC Frameworks, LSDB team) were brainstorming possible problems and solutions and were interested in how the parquet files might be distributed.
Can they be stored in a bucket?
Yes. That is what we are doing at the moment on embargo rack. We also have other catalogs stored in buckets (for instance an example here: PanSTARRS on NASA Open space buckets )
