When Sherlock finds a source is likely a star matched in Gaia, would it be possible to return the distance (or maybe other Gaia properties like parallax)? Or is the Gaia data within Sherlock lean and doesn’t have all the Gaia information available?
Hi James. The Gaia catalogue in the underlying Sherlock database includes most/all of the information you are requesting. However, for processing speed and storage reasons, Lasair only retains a tiny subset of crossmatched catalogue data for each transient.
What is use case? Would it help if we attempted to link out to somewhere so you could find this information quickly, or are you looking to dynamically query/filter on these properties?

Unfortunately, the Gaia distances are not reported in Sherlock.
