Carnegie Mellon University’s Physics Department in the Mellon College of Science is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join the LINCC Frameworks team, a multidisciplinary group of astronomers and computer scientists building scalable analysis software for data from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST).
The role will contribute to the development of open, high-performance software infrastructure that enables the scientific community to analyze Rubin’s massive astronomical datasets.
