Where to find the Vera C. Rubin Observatory name usage guide

There used to be a the Vera C. Rubin Observatory name usage guide on the project website, but that page no longer exists. Is there an equivalent page on the Rubin Observatory website?

Hi Meg, thanks for this.

I can confirm this is an issue. It looks like that link to the name usage guide still works for me, but only with staff log in. I also can’t find it in the new rubinobservatory.org webpages. I’ll check with the Communications team on whether the log in requirement is an accident, if the page has been moved, if we should add this content to the new “How to cite Rubin Observatory” page for scientsts, etc. We’ll get it fixed (internal work ticket SP-1964).

In the meantime, for quick reference, here’s a copy of the English version of the name usage guide. I’m going to mark this post as the solution but if the copy below wasn’t what you needed, please let me know.

Thanks is it possible to get this information in some form back on a Rubin website?

Hello @mschwamb the name use guide is available at Name Guidelines | Rubin Observatory.

My collaboration members are not press and wouldn’t know to look there. Is there a way to include a link on the for scientists section of the website as this is information that the data rights community also needs to know?

Tina had already added this link to the “Documentation” page under “For Scientists”, so that it would be discoverable by scientists.

I added it also to the “How to cite Rubin Observatory” page under “For Scientists”, to make it even more easily discoverable by scientists.

Thanks
