Data Preview 1 is here!
The Data Preview 1 (aka DP1) dataset is now available at data.lsst.cloud. Please read the official announcement for more information
The Rubin Science Platform is also in Preview mode. Documentation of existing capabilities can be found at rsp.lsst.io. You can read about some of its future capabilities on our roadmap - and that’s not even the whole list, so stay tuned.
If you are signing up for an account today: the account approval is manual as it requires verification of data rights. It often takes several days to process depending on the level of interest. Read here for more and don’t forget to check your e-mail for any additional questions.
Latest RSP Updates
Latest recommended image
The recommended build of our Science Pipelines available in the RSP Notebook Aspect has been upgraded to r29.1.1 This is the same version that was used to process the Data Preview 1 (DP1) dataset now available from data.lsst.cloud. Check out the pipelines release notes for this version.
Temporary TAP upload now available
Temporary table upload is a capability that allows a user to upload a table to a TAP server in order to join it with that server’s hosted catalogs. Previously, this was only available for DP0.3 data. It is now available for all our hosted data, including DP1.
For an example on how to invoke this service consult the tutorial available in your notebook as Tutorials → DP0.3/06_User_Uploaded_Tables or consult your favorite TAP client’s documentation.
User uploaded tables are currently limited to 32 MB.
User Query History UI
In the RSP portal, you will now see a tab called “Job History”. You can use this interface to retrieve previous query results (green line graph icon), see properties of the performed query (yellow info button), and delete queries from your list (the red trash bin icon) . More features and documentation relating to query history are planned.
Bugs squashed
- TAP Table upload no longer applies both a row and a size limit (thank you @steventgk for the report)
