Family analysis for groups of metrics

I’ve been playing with some notebooks putting together plots for metrics in a group, for each of the families. See https://github.com/lsst-pst/survey_strategy/blob/master/fbs_1.7/Demo_SSOmetrics.ipynb and https://github.com/lsst-pst/survey_strategy/blob/master/fbs_1.7/Demo_DESC_StaticSci.ipynb

Reach out if there are other sets of metrics you would like to see like this.

Once a particular family has been narrowed down to be ‘of interest’ (either from the description or from your metric results), you can dive further into a particular family. Example: https://github.com/lsst-pst/survey_strategy/blob/master/fbs_1.7/Demo_FamilyInfo.ipynb

Sometimes you may need to run metrics differently or run extra metrics – we are running a lot, but of course it’s always possible to think of extra things to investigate once you get deeper into a question. See, for example, https://github.com/lsst-pst/survey_strategy/blob/master/fbs_1.7/Overlaps-NvisitsPerNight.ipynb or https://github.com/lsst-sims/sims_featureScheduler_runs1.7/blob/main/rolling/spot_check.ipynb as notebooks focusing primarily on evaluating something not covered in our standard metrics.
