Similar to Joseph Long’s post on July 25:
I’m trying to install the LSST Stack using the newinstall.sh script for v12.0. I’m getting stuck on building mariadbclient, but I’m not sure how to diagnose the error. The error message I get is “Failed to build mariadbclient-10.1.11.lsst3.eupspkg exited with code 253”. I am running OS X El Capitan. Thanks for any advice!
Do you have cmake installed? It’s not a standard part of a Mac OS X system. I install mine using homebrew.
