Early Data Preview 2 (EDP2) will be released to Rubin data rights holders on Mon Jul 27 2026 (EDP2 release announcement). This is also the week of the Rubin Community Workshop 2026 (RCW; virtual registration is free), so the following week there will be virtual seminars to support people getting started with EDP2. These sessions will run in the morning and be repeated in the late afternoon (US Pacific time) to facilitate global participation.
Tue Aug 4, 9:00am and 5:00pm PDT (UTC-7): Get started with Early Data Preview 2
These two identical sessions will repeat the RCW breakout of the same name (Wed 1:30pm), and will feature a slide-based introduction to the dataset and hands-on tutorials using the Rubin Science Platform (RSP) to access EDP2.
Thu Aug 6, 9:00am and 5:00pm PDT (UTC-7): EDP2 drop-in Q&A help session
Rubin staff will be on hand to answer any and all EDP2-related questions.
